Kamaloka Labyrinth of the Abyss

Basics

Kamaloka, Labyrinth of the Abyss — is a temporary zone (instance) for group levelling. After defeating the last boss, players receive experience, SP points and valuable loot, such as enchantment scrolls, gear and parts for its creation.

The instance consists of 4 rooms. The first room contains a group of monsters that strengthen the boss's physical defence, while the second room houses creatures that enhance its magical defence. Defeating a mini-boss in the third room weakens the final boss's physical attack. The fourth room is the boss room, accompanied by its guards.

The Labyrinth is available to a group of 5 to 9 players. The character level must not be lower or higher than the selected Labyrinth by more than five levels.

To enter the instance, talk to the NPC Guard Captain. Captain awaits adventurers in Gludio, Dion, Heine, Oren, Schuttgart, Rune, and Arcan.

The Labyrinth is available once a day, cooldown at 6:30 AM server time. Re-entry is available once every day by using Extra Entrance Pass - Kamaloka (Labyrinth) Extra Entrance Pass - Kamaloka (Labyrinth) NG . A ticket sold at Butler and in the Personal Account store.

All buffs and debuffs are removed upon entering the instance, except those provided by the Newbie and Adventurer’s Guide. Player buffs can only be applied once inside the Labyrinth. If a character dies in the Labyrinth, they lose the usual amount of experience. Upon logging out, using teleportation scrolls, or teleportation skills, the character is returned to the city where the instance was entered.

You have 45 minutes to defeat the boss. A message will appear on the screen 10, 5, and 1 minute before the instance ends. If the group fails the final boss within the allotted time, they can re-enter after the temporary zone closes. If you die during the boss fight, speak with the Guard Captain to re-enter. You can leave Kamaloka using a teleport scroll or through the monument that appears after the boss is defeated.

Pay attention!
Depending on the concept and server stage, only certain levels of the Labyrinth may be available.

Tactics

Group composition

Optimal group composition for Labyrinth of any level:

  • Tank — is not necessarily a knight. It can be a destroyer or a SwS, depending on the level of the Labyrinth and the equipment of the players
  • Healer — Bishop or EE, depending on the players equipment
  • EE/SE — to restore the healer's mana. The need for this class depends on whether the healer has a pet and the average DPS of the damage dealers
  • Buffer — when assembling a group, keep in mind that all buffs, except those from the Newbie Guide and Club, will be removed. Having a PP, Wark, or Over can greatly enhance the group’s strength
  • Bards — a BD or SwS will provide additional group reinforcement with rhythms. In high-level Labyrinths, they are essential
  • Damage Dealers — any class that can deal damage. The choice is at the discretion of the group leader

Entry

To enter the Labyrinth, the entire group must assemble near the NPC Guard Captain. The group leader must then speak with the Captain to enter the instance.

Players will spawn in a small room with a pillar. That is a safe area to prepare for battle. Talk to a pillar to exit the Labyrinth at any time.

First room

In the first room, players will encounter nine aggressive and social monsters. One of them, the "mother," is responsible for reviving the other eight monsters and affects the physical defence of the final boss. The group's main objective is to eliminate the "mother."

You may lure out monsters one by one using the dagger skills Silent Move Silent Move Lv. 1 and Lure Lure Lv. 1 , and watching for the respawn of killed monsters.

The second option is to use the summoner skill Betray Betray Lv. 1 on one of the monsters. Use this skill only when the monster is near the pillar — otherwise, its allies will aggro you. The enchanted monster will run toward the mother and attack her. Carefully lure the target monster away from the group and eliminate it near the pillar.

Pay attention! On Masterwork, the "mother" is marked with the title.

Second room

The second room contains five aggressive and social monsters that enhance the last boss’s magical defence. If your DDs deal physical damage, there’s no need to engage them — move along the walls and proceed to the third room. However, if your group consists of mages, you must clear the room entirely.

Third room

In the third room, the group will encounter a mini-boss responsible for the physical attack of the last boss. It may be killed without any special tricks, but keep in mind a few things:

  • The boss has a small amount of health, but high physical attack
  • At random moments, the boss will attack another party member. Be ready to save your ally
  • Like all solo bosses, the Labyrinth Warden can cast Cancellation Cancellation Lv. 1 on a player who uses skills near him. That applies to all skills — those that deal damage, apply buffs, restore mana and health

After the boss is dead, go up to the fourth room.

Fourth room

In the final room, the group will face the main boss. Defeating it will grant experience and loot, including enchantment scrolls, equipment, and crafting materials.

Before the battle begins, restore your health and mana — they will be crucial during the fight. The boss is accompanied by four minions: two warriors and two healers. Prioritize eliminating the healers first, as they restore the health of damaged monsters.

If you eliminate the monsters in the first and third rooms, defeating the boss will be much easier. Keep an eye out for minions spawning and prevent the healers from restoring the boss’s health. Warrior minions apply the Reflect Damage Reflect Damage Lv. 1 buff to the boss, so they should be taken down immediately upon appearing.

To quickly close the time zone, leave the Labyrinth using the pillar.

New Rewards

Loot

In the fifth season of Masterwork, the loot and experience for completing the Labyrinth became personal. After defeating the Labyrinth Captain, each player near the boss will receive a chest with personal rewards and a capsule containing a loot.

The capsule is transferable and contains the usual loot from the boss. This reward system prevents cheating and ensures that every participant in the battle has a fair chance to receive their share of the loot.

The reward will be given to all players within a 2500 radius of the Labyrinth Captain when he dies, even those who did not deal damage to the boss, were dead or without a group. If your inventory is full, you will receive the reward by mail.

Experience

Experience for killing bosses in the Labyrinth is fixed for each group member, which means no matter how many of you there are — 5 or 9, each player will receive the same amount of experience.

Pets gain experience without penalty for the difference between the owner and the pet levels.

Base experience is multiplied by the current experience rate from RB (ex. patchnote), bonus from the Experience Rune and the buff from the achievement.

Let's calculate the experience with and without boosts as an example.

Players of levels 54, 55 and 56 completed the Labyrinth level 59 without experience boosts:

  • Player level 54 received 1 600 000 * rate x1.5 = 2 400 000 Experience
  • Player level 55 received 1 600 000 * rate x1 = 1 600 000 Experience
  • Player level 56 received 1 600 000 * rate x0.2 = 320 000 Experience

Then they went through the Labyrinth a second time but with boosts:

  • A level 54 player without boosts received 1 600 000 * rate x1.5 = 2 400 000 Experience
  • A level 55 player has a Daily Online Reward* +30% Experience buff, he received 1 600 000 * rate x1 + (1 600 000 * 0.3) = 2 080 000 Experience
  • A level 56 player has a Daily Online Reward buff +30% Experience and an Experience Rune* +50% Experience, he received 1 600,000 * rate x0.2 + (320 000 * 0.3) + (320 000 * 0.5) = 320 000 + 96 000 + 160 000 = 576 000 Experience

*Daily Online Reward - reward for the "Daily Online" achievement.

*Experience Runes come in two types — +30% and +50%, their bonuses do not stack. When using several runes, the player receives a bonus from the stronger one.
